

Stir together AMPORT dates, sugar, nuts and water. Cut butter into cereal and dry cake mix until crumbly. Reserve 2 cups. Press remaining into 13'9'2 inch pan. Spread date mixture over crumb mixture in pan. Sprinkle with reserve crumb mixture. Bake until golden brown, 25 - 30 minutes at 350 degrees, cool. Cut into bars 3'1/2 inch. Makes 2 dozen.
